Last updated: October 26, 2026

This page explains the most important risks of the treatments offered through Marine Peptide Collective. It's general information, not medical advice, and does not replace your medication label or your provider's instructions. In an emergency, call 911.

Before you start, tell your provider about

Every prescription and over-the-counter medicine and supplement you take, any allergies, recent or planned surgery, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and your full personal and family medical history.

Horizon Protocol (injection, compounded medication) · Horizon Protocol Advanced (injection, compounded medication)

Compounded medication. Prepared and dispensed by VSDH, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy, under an individual prescription from a licensed provider. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality. They are not generic versions of, and are not equivalent or interchangeable with, any FDA-approved brand-name product. Do not use if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid cancer or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 (MEN2); medicines in this class caused thyroid tumors in animal studies. Possible serious risks: pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (higher with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems from dehydration, changes in vision for people with diabetic eye disease, and allergic reactions. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you are trying to conceive. Tell any surgeon or anesthetist you use this medicine. Common side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain and tiredness. Get emergency help for severe stomach pain that won't go away, signs of an allergic reaction, or a lump or swelling in your neck.

Equinox Daily Tablet (oral tablet, FDA-approved medication) · Equinox Patch (patch, FDA-approved medication)

Hormone therapy may increase the risk of stroke, blood clots, heart attack, breast cancer and dementia. If you have a uterus, estrogen-only therapy increases the risk of endometrial cancer, so your provider may add another medicine. Your provider uses the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed and reviews it with you regularly. Do not use if you have had breast cancer, a blood clot, stroke, heart attack, liver disease or unexplained vaginal bleeding, or if you are pregnant. Tell your provider about migraines, high blood pressure, smoking, gallbladder disease and any planned surgery. Common side effects: breast tenderness, headache, nausea, bloating and spotting. Get emergency help for chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, pain or swelling in one leg, sudden severe headache, vision changes, or weakness or numbness on one side of the body.

Momentum As-Needed (oral tablet, FDA-approved medication) · Momentum Daily (oral tablet, FDA-approved medication) · Momentum Extended (oral tablet, FDA-approved medication)

Never take with nitrate medicines for chest pain or a heart condition, or with "poppers". This can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your provider about heart problems, stroke, low or high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, or blood-pressure and prostate medicines (alpha-blockers). Get emergency help for chest pain, an erection lasting more than 4 hours, or sudden loss of vision or hearing. Common side effects: headache, flushing, indigestion, stuffy nose, back pain and muscle aches.

Rootline Daily Tablet (oral tablet, FDA-approved medication)

For men only. Women who are or may become pregnant should not handle crushed or broken tablets, because the medicine can harm a male baby. Possible side effects: lower sex drive, erection or ejaculation problems, breast tenderness or enlargement, and mood changes including depression; tell your provider straight away about any mood change. It can lower PSA blood test results, so tell any clinician who checks your prostate that you take it. Results take 3 to 6 months and fade if you stop.

Rootline Oral Growth (oral tablet, FDA-approved medication, off-label use)

FDA-approved medication used off-label for hair thinning; a licensed provider decides whether it is appropriate. Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, or if you have heart failure, chest pain, a heart rhythm problem or very low blood pressure. Tell your provider if you take blood-pressure medicine or have kidney or liver disease. Common side effects: unwanted hair growth on the face or body, ankle swelling, fast heartbeat and light-headedness. Get medical help for chest pain, fainting, or sudden weight gain or swelling.

Collective Rootline Scalp Serum (topical solution, compounded medication)

Compounded medication. Prepared and dispensed by VSDH, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy, under an individual prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality. Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, and do not handle the solution if you are pregnant. Do not apply to broken or irritated scalp skin. Tell your provider if you plan to father a child soon, have a history of depression or have skin that is sensitive to sunlight. Common side effects: scalp dryness, redness or flaking, temporary shedding in the first weeks, and sun sensitivity. Get medical help for severe irritation, swelling or low mood.

Add-on: Collective Pure Energy Shot (injection, compounded medication) · Metabolic Boost Shot (injection, compounded medication) · Metabolic Plus Shot (injection, compounded medication)

Compounded medication. Prepared and dispensed by VSDH, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Do not use if you are allergic to vitamin B12 or cobalt (B12 products) or have Leber's disease. Tell your provider about kidney disease or any vitamin or supplement you already take by injection. Common side effects: injection-site soreness or redness, mild diarrhoea and itching. Get emergency help for hives, swelling of the face or throat, or trouble breathing.

Add-on: Collective Settle Dissolve Tabs (oral tablet, FDA-approved medication)

(FDA-approved tablet, for weight care patients only): may cause headache, constipation or tiredness; rarely, heart-rhythm changes. Tell your provider about heart-rhythm problems or medicines that affect heart rhythm.
